Lanseria Airport (FALA) was conceptualised during 1972 by two Pretoria pilots, Fanie Haacke and Abe Sher when they identified the ideal site for an airport.
Lanseria Airport has seen some many upgrades in the form of a longer and a wider runway, improved terminal, new and a new control tower since then; all of which has been added to this package.
Lanseria Airport is 32 km (19.8 miles) from the Johannesburg City Centre and 33 km (20.5 miles) from the Pretoria City Centre.
IMPORTANT SYSTEM FILE UPDATE
This package contains an update that will change the default Lanseria Airport as well as update the OR Tambo Intl Airport ID from FAJS to FAOR. These changes are needed for this package to work. The old FAJS airport will no longer be available in your Flight Simulator World Menu. This may cause AI Traffic to stop using Johannesburg / OR Tambo International Airport entirely as some AI Traffic packages uses the older Airport ID of FAJS to route flight to. You will need to contact the provider of your AI package for a solution if you find that your AI Traffic no longer displays.

REQUIRED LIBRARIES
Our Scenery Library with common use objects are no longer distributed as part of this airport package. Please download and install it separately using the link below. This Library is needed for the correct working of the airport. Without it, you may not see the taxi lights, runway lights, apron lights, trees or vehicles parked at the airport. You only need to download and install this package once as all our airports uses it. Regular updates for these libraries may be required as our collection of airports grow.
