Who we are

NMG Simulations is run by both Nico and Mariska Gagiano Visagie, hence the abbreviation NMG. We are a small home-based business which we run from our home address in Pretoria.

We have been in the Flight Simulator business for more than 30 years and we specialize in developing airport scenery add-ons for Prepar3D and X-Plane.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect personal information from you when you register a user account on our system. This user account is used to store all your orders as well as the downloads associated with it. The personal information we collect is your Name, Surname, Address, Telephone Number and E-Mail Address. This information is linked to every order you place on our system and it is collected solely used for filling your order.

When you leave a comment on our website or you review a product, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

The Contact Form on our website only stores information on a temporarily basis so that we may replay to your message. Our contact forms do not capture or store information. Instead it generates an email message which is send to our email address just like a normal email. By law, we are required to store all email we receive for a period of five (5) years.

The contact form used by our Support System is stored for support purposes. We use this support information for analytical purposes so that we can improve our products.

None of the information you submit to us is ever shared with third parties; EVER!


Our website uses cookies to temporarily save information for your convenience so that you do not have to fill it in every time you visit our website.

Our website will set a temporary cookie when you access the Sign In screen to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, several cookies are setup to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

We use Google Analytics to analyse visits to our website. Information collected includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyse trends. We use this information to administer our WEB site, track client’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. The information that is collected in this manner are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Who we share your data with

The only company we share data with is our Credit Card processor which is Pay Fast. The sole purpose of this data share is to allow you to make payment for your order with your credit/debit card. The Pay Fast privacy policy is available here:

How long we retain your data

We store the personal information provided by our clients with their orders. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information after they log into our website with their email address and passwords at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit this information. Order and user information is stored indefinitely.

If you leave a comment or a product review, the said comment/review and its metadata are also retained indefinitely.

Google Analytics will store the demographic information it collects for a period of 26 months after which it will be permanently deleted.

What rights you have over your data

You can erase any personal data we hold about you by logging into your account on our website and then use the Delete Account function. Any information that is deleted using this function will be permanently lost and we will not be able to recover it. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

All information that is shared on our website is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry – SSL.

The information we collect are stored in an online database. This database runs on a separate server and are not accessible via normal WEB browsing. It is therefore not possible for anyone to accidentally stumble upon your personal information by browsing our site.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect client-information off-line. All our clients’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information.

Please note that comments and reviews you leave on our website may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

Though we make every effort to preserve client privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our web site.

In the event NMG Simulations goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, clients’ personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred.
