It is with pleasure that we announce the release of our East London Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020!
East London Airport (FAEL) was established in 1927 by Colonel Allister Mackintosh Miller expressly for the delivery of mail by air to Cape Town. Originally the airport was situated 2km (1.2 mi) west of the city centre, but in 1965 the airport was moved to its present site 9 km (5.6 miles) west of the city centre.
The city of East London, sometimes referred to as Buffalo City, was formed around the only river port in South Africa and was originally known as Port Rex. East London was elevated to city status in 1914.
We have done our best to design the airport as close to the real one as possible. We have also added PBR Texturing to all the buildings! The layout in terms of runway, taxiway and hangars is accurate.
As always, if you have bought this airport for FSX, Prepar3D or X-Plane before, then you qualify for an upgrade discount to this version.
Screen shots of these airports are available on the button below.
