OR Tambo Intl Airport V5.0 Released!

The long-awaited version of OR Tambo Intl Airport for FSX, FSX Steam Edition, Prepar3D (V3.x/V4.x) and X-Plane 10/11 has been released!

So, what has changed? We have redesigned this airport from the ground up! Everything has been redone in High Definition format. This means that the airport now has much more detail and much more definition than before. Walls have cracks, metal surfaces show rust and paint work shows wear and tear that it did not before! The buildings, especially the main terminal now show much more detail than before!

Naturally this airport now uses a lot of frame rate, but this can be overcome by limiting your display settings such as AutoGen Density, AI/Vehicle/Service Vehicle Traffic, Level of Detail Radius and a few others. We have tested this airport with a few commercial aircraft addons and in all our tests, the airport was fully flyable providing that the settings as last-mentioned are kept at lower levels. From our side, we have limited the display of some objects to settings of Dense, Very Dense and Extremely Dense. You will only see everything this airport has to offer at a setting of Extremely Dense.

As for the Prepar3Dv4 version, we have recompiled all the airport objects (buildings, hangars, terminals, etc) and ground layer files for the Prepar3Dv4 version using the Prepar3Dv4 SDK and we have also enabled HDR effects to all light effects.

This version is not a free upgrade for FSX/P3Dv3 clients as before, but we are offering 50% discount for clients who had the previous version, including our Prepar3Dv4 clients. To claim your discount all you have to do is to log into your account on our system before you make your purchase. Our system will pick it up if you have bough the previous version and add the discount automatically. You must be logged in for the discount to show. If you do not log in, the system will not have access to your previous purchases and you will be charged the full price.
